Question: Is it possible to receive a telephone call when I am listening to the WebRadio?

Answer: If you have the additional Call Waiting service from your telecom operator the answer is yes. The WebRadio will recognise the incoming call and will switch off automatically.


Question: Does the WebRadio support Call Waiting?

Answer: If you have the additional Call Waiting service from you telecom operator the WebRadio will recognise the call and will switch off automatically.


Question: Do I need an Internet dial-up account to use the WebRadio?

Answer: Yes, you need an Internet account (ISP) to use to the WebRadio, but this will be provided together with the WebRadio. All the necessary information of your account is already pre-programmed in the WebRadio.


Question: I already have an Internet dial-up account. Can I use this existing account?

Answer: Yes, you can use your existing account. You can program this account in the WebRadio. In the manual of the WebRadio you will find detailed instructions on how to do so. If you use your own ISP account you will receive a discount of USD 4,99 on the monthly fee.


Question: I already have a broad band connection. Can I use this with the WebRadio instead of the provided ISP account?

Answer: Yes, you can use your broadband connection if your router or modem has a free Ethernet (RJ45) port. Besides the built-in analogue modem the WebRadio also has an Ethernet connection. If you use your own Internet connection you will receive a discount of USD 4,99 on the monthly fee.


Question: Can I also use the provided dial-up Internet account for other Internet activities?

Answer: No, this is not possible. The account only works together with the WebRadio to listen to Netcom Digital Radio. It is not possible to access Internet pages or send or receive email using this account.


Question: Can I connect the WebRadio to a Hi-fi installation, external speakers or headphone?

Answer: Yes, you can connect the WebRadio via a standard audio cable (cinch) to your Hi-fi set. It is also possible to connect the WebRadio to a set of headphones or external speakers. Depending on your headphones or speakers you might need an additional cable/plug. This cable is available in almost every audio shop or media mall.

Question: Do I have to dial a number every time I want to listen to the radio station?

Answer: No, you do not need to dial a telephone number manually. The WebRadio will connect automatically when it is switched on.


Question: Can I still listen to the Netcom DIgital Radio radio, if I move to another city?

Answer: Yes, The use of the WebRadio is not limited by geographical reach. With the WebRadio and a regular telephone line you can listen from any place to Netcom Digital Radio. So if you move to another state or region you can still use the WebRadio. One telephone call to the helpdesk and they will remotely program another Internet telephone number in your WebRadio.


Question: Do I need a special telephone line to use the WebRadio?

Answer: No, in practice a regular telephone line is sufficient although some telephone lines can give the problems. Telephone lines to which too many additional phones are connected or long distances can give some problems. You can call our helpdesk for further assistance.


Question: Do I have to pay my Telecom provider extra for listening to Netcom Digital Radio?

Answer: No, if you have a flat fee subscription for local calls from your telecom provider you can listen without extra charges from the Telecom provider. The WebRadio is pre-programmed with a local Internet access number.


Question: Can I use a separate telephone line instead of a call waiting service of my telecom provider?

Answer: Yes, this is possible. The advantage of having a separate telephone line is that the radio programs of Netcom Digital Radio will not be interrupted by incoming calls.
